Ihre Gesichts- und Flugh\u00e4ute sind schwarzbraun und etwas dunkler als bei der Gro\u00dfen Bartfledermaus. Ihr langes, krauses Fell ist auf der Oberseite oft dunkelgraubraun oder hellbraun. Bei intensiver Betrachtung f\u00e4llt auf, dass die goldgl\u00e4nzenden Haarspitzen fehlen, wie sie Gro\u00dfe Bartflederm\u00e4use haben k\u00f6nnen. Bereits 15-30 min nach Sonnenuntergang beginnt sie m it der Jagd in Parks, G\u00e4rten, \u00fcber Flie\u00dfgew\u00e4ssern, Wiesen oder im Wald.
